Our program is designed for children who are enrolled in half day Kindergarten. This program can act as a bridge between preschool and kindergarten, or as an introduction to school for children who have not previously attended group care.
The differences between our Preschool and Fives programs are dictated by the older children’s interests and abilities. There is more early literacy work, as well as more challenging activities during interest center time.
The most important skills and attitudes children can bring to kindergarten are enthusiasm for learning, confidence in one’s ability to solve problems, the ability to function as a member of a team or group, the ability to follow directions, and basic self-care such as keeping track of one’s belongings and personal hygiene.
